ALL THINGS NEW

it’s happening!

I’m doing it! I’m starting a blog! . . . and not only a blog, but a business as well.

It has been a lifelong dream of mine to start a business of some kind. As a kid I remember being envious of the ice cream truck driver–that was my dream job. As I’ve gotten older my occupational goals have expanded into wanting to write a children’s book, sell flowers at a farmer’s market, & create postcards from my paintings of dogs . . . and maybe one day I’ll see these goals to completion. For now, however, I’m starting with a business idea that’s been brewing in my mind for over 10 years, and one that I believe has the most potential: creating story-based films & photos about others & for others.

I have a knack for befriending all different types of people because I truly do recognize & appreciate how God has made everyone unique. Even more so, I see what makes everyone similar. To love, to celebrate, to grieve–there is a sacredness in these actions which all of us have experienced. I believe that life is full of sacred moments, whether momentous or mundane. Capturing & conveying those moments honestly & artistically is the heart & soul of my business.

. . .

many thanks

My logo and website were designed by the wonderful ladies at Alisabeth Designs who took great care of me from start to finish. They believed in my vision and made sure to highlight my personality in the details of their work. Because of that, my website truly feels like me. I am forever grateful for their expertise, kindness & creativity!

the story of the dandelion

As a kindergarten teacher, my mom knew a thing or two about Crayola crayons. In the classic 24-pack, her favorite one was a color called Dandelion, which was a vibrant, golden yellow. When Crayola retired the beloved color, my mom took it upon herself to collect as many Dandelion crayons as possible so her classroom would never experience a shortage. The dandelion theme on my site is in honor of my mom.
